What this site is. TractorYearCheck provides free serial-number decoding tools and a paid Buyer's Check Kit for vintage tractors. The tools read published serial lists; results are informational and are provided for general guidance in identifying and evaluating old equipment.
Accuracy. Every table is assembled from at least two independent published sources, and known disagreements between sources are disclosed. Serial lists from the era contain errors, and individual tractors may have replacement parts, re-stamped numbers, or undocumented histories. A decoder result is evidence to weigh — not a certification of a tractor's year, originality, or value.
The Buyer's Check Kit. The kit is a one-time purchase of digital content, delivered as web pages. It contains general information about inspecting and documenting vintage tractors. It is not mechanical, legal, or financial advice.
Trademarks. Ford, Farmall, International Harvester, John Deere, Massey Ferguson and Ferguson are trademarks of their respective owners. TractorYearCheck is not affiliated with, sponsored, or endorsed by any of them; names are used only to describe the tractors the published serial lists cover.
